Here's the maths nobody does until it's too late: one lab coat with standard shipping costs you the coat plus postage. Six lab coats on one order ship free — anywhere in Australia. The only catch is somebody has to organise it, and this article makes that a ten-minute job.

Why It Works

Shipping is free on any order over $100. A single white lab coat is $24 ex GST — so five coats clears the line comfortably, and one navy ($27) gets you most of the way on its own. Practically: your bench group, your flat, your course friends, or your whole prac class.

This isn't a theory, either — student clubs and course groups do exactly this. One UNSW club ordered 50 branded coats in a single order last year. Your five-person bench group is the small end of a very normal thing.

How to Organise It (Ten Minutes, Total)

1. Post in your subject's group chat or forum: "Lab coats are $24 from an Aussie supplier, free shipping if we order together — who's in?"
2. Collect size choices — everyone measures a garment they own against the Sizing Chart and picks their size (XXS to 3XL). No fitting rooms needed
3. One person places the order in the Shop with everyone's size and colour in the cart
4. Everyone transfers their share to that person before the order — or after, if you trust your bench group more than we'd trust ours
5. One delivery, one flat — coats arrive together, everyone grabs theirs

Choose elastic cuffs (same price as traditional) if your labs involve heat or equipment — the snug sleeve stays off your hands and away from flames. You can mix cuffs in one order too.

One Honest Warning

Order early. Standard delivery is 5–7 business days, and your first prac won't move for your delivery. Two weeks before semester starts is the sweet spot — it even leaves room for a free size exchange (7 days) if someone measured optimistically.
